The president of the United States, Donald Trump, is picking up some of the lawsuits that he initiated against the results of the presidential elections.
According to the Associated Press and CNN on the 16th (local time), Trump’s election camps and his supporters dropped some of the lawsuits filed in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan and Wisconsin alleging illegal elections.
The four states are the places where the last round of matches took place from this presidential election to the last minute, where President Trump prevailed at the beginning of the count, and then the chosen Joe Biden delivered.
Trump supporters and the conservative voting regulator True the Vote have sued over the mail-in ballot counting process. It is argued that vote-by-mail ballots that were to be counted as invalid votes, such as votes without a voter’s signature or on an unofficial ballot envelope, and those that were late after the voting period, were counted as valid.
However, the plaintiffs did not provide evidence to support the claim. After expert verification, he said he would send it out later, but did not save it and eventually voluntarily dropped the lawsuit. The law firm of James Bob, a conservative attorney who served on behalf of the lawsuit, said: “We will bring a similar lawsuit sooner or later supplementing the evidence.”
Bush Advisory Team “No Chance to Override Election Results”
Although some lawsuits have been dropped, several lawsuits are still ongoing in every state over Trump Camp insisting on a ‘rigged election’. However, most legal experts believe that the possibility of annulling the election results is unlikely due to the lack of foundation in the content of the lawsuit.
Experts explain that the purpose of the mail ballot count requested by the plaintiffs is unclear, and that even if the vote is re-counted, it will be difficult to change the outcome of the vote itself.
In Pennsylvania, mail-in ballots received up to three days after Election Day are controversial, with 10,000 ballots received during this period. To date, biden-elect has obtained 342.5607 votes and President Trump has obtained 3.38,254 votes. Even if 10,000 cards are invalidated, it is difficult to reverse the game.
For this reason, the Pennsylvania and Arizona courts repeatedly dismissed related cases. Three days ago, a judge at the Pennsylvania Federal Court of Appeals warned that “the series of lawsuits filed immediately after the presidential election lacked constitutional foundation and the arguments were poor,” and “do not overstate the lawsuit.”
Benjamin Ginsberg, consulted by former Republican President George W. Bush’s legal advisor during the 2000 US presidential election, said: “We need to provide concrete evidence that this election has been rigged, but at the moment it lacks concreteness.” He said: “There is no possibility that President Trump will revoke the results of the presidential elections through a lawsuit.”
