Quarantine authorities warned of a nationwide pandemic and said 300 to 400 new cases of Corona 19 could occur in the next two to four weeks if human contact is not reduced.

In addition to the winter season, frequent year-end gatherings and asymptomatic infections are increasing, increasing the risk of large-scale contagion throughout the country.

With more than 200 new confirmed Korean cases of Corona 19 over three consecutive days, quarantine authorities predicted that between 300 and 400 people per day could occur if social distancing was not observed.

This is because the infection rate, which is an indicator of how many people infected with Corona 19 it infects, exceeds 1 to 1.12.

Also, as the number of events, meetings and trips increases towards the end of the year, there is growing concern about a large-scale spread across the country.

In particular, when looking at the age group of confirmed patients during the last week, 52.2% of those who are 40 years old or younger are increasing the proportion of young people.

In the last 4 weeks, the number of confirmed patients under 40 years of age was 49.1% of the total, an increase of 10.8 percentage points over the previous 4 weeks.

Younger people are explained to have many asymptomatic infections and have fewer opportunities to visit medical institutions or get tested, but the overall infection has increased and the diagnosis has increased recently.

For this reason, he stressed that it is important to reduce the possibility of contagion between people, such as changing festive meetings to non-contact or not eating or drinking.
