SpaceX, a private American space exploration company, sent four astronauts to the International Space Station. After a successful test flight in May, it is evaluated as the first battle royale stage that opens the era of private space travel. Reporter Yeojin Lee reports. “3,2,1,0. Light! Fire!” 7:27 pm local time on the 15th. SpaceX, an American space exploration company led by Elon Musk, has successfully launched a manned spacecraft called Resilience from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The spacecraft entered normal orbit in nine minutes. This mission, called Crew-1, is evaluated as a real battlefield that opens the era of civil space travel. Earlier in May, SpaceX successfully completed a final test flight to and from the International Space Station with two astronauts belonging to NASA, the US Aerospace Administration. This launch is the first flight to create a sustainable manned space travel model based on the achievements of the test flight. Additionally, SpaceX’s spacecraft, the Crewdragon capsule, was recently certified by NASA, making it the first private spacecraft to receive this certification. The four astronauts aboard the spacecraft are the captain of the NASA spacecraft, a black pilot, a physicist, and a Japanese astronaut. Among them, pilot Victor Glover will be the first black astronaut to stay on the space station if this trip is successful. They named the spacecraft ‘Resilience’, which stands for recovery, meaning it will pass various tests this year, including Crown 19, racism, and the chaotic presidential election. Resilience flies 27 hours and 30 minutes, arrives at the space station on the 17th at 1 pm our time, performs various experiments during 6 months and returns to Earth next May. The first phase of the Falcon 9 rocket, which launched the spacecraft, was returned to a ship in the Atlantic Ocean and collected. SpaceX CEO Elon Musk was unable to visit the launch site due to suspected Corona 19 symptoms. This is YTN Lee Yeo-jin.
