Livestock vehicles were banned from the control section of migratory bird arrival sites belonging to three cities and counties, including Cheonan, Cheongju and Sejong, which are within 10 km of the antigen detection point.

Furthermore, in the case of the sale of poultry in the traditional markets of Icheon, the operation was suspended until the movement restrictions were lifted (21 days from the date of collection of the sample).

The Ministry of the Environment will strengthen detailed investigation and surveillance activities around the detection area in accordance with the ‘Emergency Action Guidelines for Avian Influenza’.

In areas within a 10 km radius of the antigen detection point, strengthen surveillance activities, such as collecting feces from wild birds and carcass samples, and understanding the status of habitat by species, and quarantine facilities in nearby zoos, endangered species restoration centers and wild bird sanctuaries. Additionally, the rescue and importation of wild birds was restricted to the wildlife rescue center within a 500 m radius of the antigen detection point.
