Members of the ruling and opposition lawmakers who visited Japan met for the first time after Suga took office to discuss current issues between Korea and Japan. Our lawmakers said they would strive for Korea-Japan exchanges and cooperation with the Tokyo Olympics as an opportunity, and Prime Minister Suga expressed his hopes of improving bilateral ties through diplomatic ties. Reports from Tokyo correspondent Lee Gyeong-ah. Members of the opposition party, including President Kim Jin-pyo of the Congress Federation of Korea and Japan, enter the prime minister’s residence. For the first meeting with Prime Minister Suga, which lasted almost 20 minutes, Nuka was also the president of the Japan-Korea Congress. Prime Minister Suga expressed his appreciation for President Moon’s congratulatory message after taking office and expressed his expectations of diplomacy for the two lawmakers. Before the Prime Minister’s prevention, lawmakers also had a conversation with Yamaguchi, the head of Japan’s ruling party. At this meeting, CEO Yamaguchi expressed his special thanks for the support that Korea showed in the Corona 19 situation last spring. Representative Edano from the Constitutional Democratic Party, the first opposition party, also welcomed Korean lawmakers. He emphasized that the friendship between the peoples of the two countries has deepened, focusing on the cultural exchanges of young people, and emphasized that we must gather wisdom in order to solve difficult issues. Japanese government spokesman Secretary of State Kato also commented on the visit by Korean lawmakers: “I hope to profess to create an environment for improving relations between Korea and Japan.” Neither the Japanese government nor politicians believe that bilateral relations can remain as they are, but the perception that the Claims Agreement between Korea and Japan has resolved all compensation problems remains unchanged. Of note is the role that the policy of Korea and Japan, which resumed dialogue amid fundamental constraints, will play in restoring deteriorating public opinion to the two countries.
