[사회]Consecutive group infections, five days three-digit number … ’emergency’ to spread non-metropolitan areas

Cases of domestic outbreaks of COVID-19 spread across the country, registering triple digits for the fifth day.

Notably, in addition to the existing confirmed cases focused on the metropolitan area, a significant number of confirmed cases occurred in non-metropolitan areas such as Chungnam, Gangwon and Gyeongnam.

The number of new confirmed cases in Korea reached triple digits on the fifth day, and the aftermath of the cluster outbreaks continues across the country.

Among the 143 new confirmed cases, 88 are the largest in the metropolitan area, but there are 9 cases in Chungnam, 8 in Jeonnam and 6 in each of Gangwon and Gwangju.

In the last two weeks, the number of new confirmed cases appears in the order of Seoul, Gyeonggi, Chungnam, Gangwon and Gyeongnam.

The scale of outbreak cases is also increasing everywhere.

In relation to the Armed Forces Social Welfare Corps, a unit directly under the Ministry of National Defense in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, 14 people were confirmed after the first confirmed cases came out on the 12th.

The number of confirmed cases increased by 3 at the Gangseo-gu insurance company and at the Ace Hope care center in Dongdaemun-gu.

In the case of group infection in Gunpo City Medical Institutions and Anyang City Nursing Facilities, an additional 10 people were confirmed to be in quarantine, increasing to 143.

Three more people were infected with the Daegu Jesus Center Church in Seo-gu, Daegu, resulting in a total of 40 people.

In particular, the proportion of patients between the ages of 20 and 30 among all confirmed cases was 22% in September, but increased dramatically to 31.4% in November.

In the last 2 weeks, the infection route of new confirmed patients was counted in the order of local group outbreaks, confirmed patient contact, foreign influx, under investigation of the infection route, hospitals and nursing hospitals.

Quarantine authorities requested that quarantine regulations be strictly followed, as the proportion of patients with an unclear route of infection reaches 13%.
