One of the problems with electric scooters is parking that can be parked anywhere on the street.

It can be uncomfortable for passersby, but it can also cause accidents.

So the government recently established a parking regulation, but it seems difficult to expect a big effect because there is no legal enforcement.

A pedestrian island in the center of a six-lane highway.

It is a place where pedestrians wait before crossing the crosswalk, with stacked electric scooters.

When the usage time ended, the user left it alone.

It is an alley in Samseong-dong, Seoul.

Electric skates are tangled and bunched under the power pole.

It can also cause accidents.

Last month, an elementary school student in Deunggyeoung-gil tripped over an electric skateboard placed on the street.

[피해 아동 아버지 : 세 바늘 꿰맸어요. 상처 부위가 여자아이인데 눈썹과 눈썹 사이 부분이라 흉터가 남는 게 제일 안쓰럽죠.]

The skateboards are placed roughly in front of the tent, but sometimes the wind knocks them over.

A store that suffered damage from window damage posted a “no parking” notice, but to no avail.

[피해 가게 주인 : 출근하니까 킥보드가 누워있고 유리문에, 유리가 다 깨져있고요, 금이 쫙쫙 다 갔고. 아침에 일과가 이거에요. 아침에 가게 나오면 전동 킥보드부터 치우는 게 일과가 됐어요, 요즘에는.]

There are no separate parking regulations for electric scooters that are mainly operated by private companies.

Therefore, the government recently issued a guideline not to establish parking and stopping zones.

Thirteen locations have been designated, including stairs, driveways, bus stops, and taxi stands.

The provider decided to review how to configure the function to notify the application of prohibited areas,

Experts say that legislation comes first.

Currently, there is no bill for electric scooters.

The number of users is increasing rapidly, but the law cannot be followed at all.

Experts warn that it is urgent to establish specific parking areas for electric scooters to avoid secondary accidents.
