[사설]The extreme thinking at the core of the regime revealed by Roh Young-min’s comments

President Roh Young-min, head of the presidential secretary, said in the audit of the Steering Committee of the Blue House National Assembly that “the leaders of the assembly (8 · 15 Gwanghwamun) are not thieves, but murderers.” Mr. Roh continued, “There were more than 600 confirmed cases at the Gwanghwamun rally alone” and criticized that “the economic growth rate alone acted as a 0.5% decline factor due to the unauthorized rally.” It’s wrong that some hardline conservatives held a rally in the middle of the city center amid the crown crisis. However, the court allowed 2 out of 10 Gwanghwamun meetings presented at that time. Kang-kyung provincial forces heavily attacked the judge who made the decision, sparking controversy over the independence of the judiciary. Even if they led an unacceptable demonstration and even if Corona 19 spread through the demonstration, accusing them of murderers is close to a political upheaval that has led political opposition forces to “enemies” to eradicate. In the vicinity of Gwanghwamun, a demonstration led by the Federation of Trade Unions was held, but Mr. Roh did not comment on it.

Mr. Roh’s observations that the Gwanghwamun rally is a factor in the decline in economic growth are even more surprising. In the context of the current economic crisis in the crown, how can we blame the Gwanghwamun rally even though the successive failures of the government’s economic policy were the cause of the erosion of the growth rate? Chief Roh’s comments on the ‘killer’ did not come from a private drinking party, but from the National Audit Office for the whole town. The use of such an extreme expression in the head of the office is an act of forgetfulness of the duty of high-ranking public officials who must serve the entire people.

Chief Roh’s comments clearly show a vision close to the hatred that the core of the regime feels towards critics of the government. Knowing the atmosphere of the Blue House, the police could have combined the code with an unprecedented wall of vehicles and a fire door. Seeing that the Blue House, which has been in a hurry to control the level of North Korea’s apparent assassination of killing our public officials in the West Sea, speaks hateful words towards its own people, there is concern that the core the regime has lost even a minimal sense of balance and moderation. It cannot be forbidden.
