[사설]Excessive political pollution and ‘yes-man’ caused by Musoshin

Yesterday, Vice Prime Minister of Economy and Ministry of Strategy and Finance Hong Nam-gi, who revealed his resignation in the Planning and Finance Committee of the National Assembly, canceled his thanks yesterday and said: “I will do my best to comply with my duties in accordance with the will of the human resources authority. ” I heard that the president rejected the resignation letter as a reason to revoke it. Vice Premier Hong said: “I am very sorry” for the opposition party’s criticism of his speech as a “political spectacle.” However, if you look at the series of processes in which the company’s statement was made public and reversed 180 degrees in one day, as if a bomb speech were being made at the public headquarters of the Assembly’s standing committee National, the ‘how’ point seems quite valid. The expression of resignation of the minister is in itself a serious matter of State and, in addition, it is a promise to the public that if the National Assembly publicly announces that the resignation has been presented, it will be held responsible. It is irresponsible behavior to ridicule people to turn the problem of life into something that has not been reversed. There are doubts about whether it is a ‘face to face’ behavior to leave a record of opposition to the controversial policy.

This shock shows that Hong’s leadership as an economic command tower has reached its limits. Since taking office in December 2018, Vice Premier Hong has been drawn to the Blue House and the ruling party in many cases while pursuing important policies, such as expanding the public disaster emergency support fund. The failure of Vice Premier Hong to serve adequately as head of the economy is primarily responsible to the Blue House and the ruling party, who undermined the principles of economic policy and fiscal soundness just to win the votes of supporters.
