Opinion polls predict Biden’s dominance …
Trump lags behind polls in 2016 presidential election
US Democratic Party candidate Joe Biden headed to Pennsylvania, a northern racial state, the second (local time) following the previous day. Vice President Camella Harris is also expected to arrive in Pennsylvania the same day.
Pennsylvania, along with Michigan and Wisconsin, is one of the three northern racial states. If victory in these three places is assured, Biden will win this year’s presidential election.
Politico, an American political media outlet, cited the Monmouth University poll released today and reported that Biden in Pennsylvania was supported by 50% of voters, beating President Donald Trump’s approval rating (45%) by 5 percentage points.
Monmouth University predicted that if the turnout rate in Pennsylvania is lower than the national average, Biden’s vote will be 50-45%, and if turnout is high, it will be 51-44%. The lower the turnout, the more favorable the Biden candidate will be. The Monmouth University poll was conducted from October 28 to November 1 with 502 registered voters in Pennsylvania. The sampling error is ± 4.4%.
Pennsylvania’s electoral body is 20, second only to Florida (29) among the top contenders. Pennsylvania is traditionally classified as a Democratic garden and is also home to Biden’s hometown.
In a poll conducted by Real Clear Politics from October 26 to November 1, Biden is ahead of President Trump in Pennsylvania by 4.3 points.
However, it is too early to feel relief.
In 2016, President Trump lost 6.8 percentage points to Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton in Pennsylvania three weeks before the presidential election, but reversed it within three weeks and won the election by 0.7 percentage points.
