Former President Lee Myung-bak, who was sentenced to 17 years in prison on embezzlement and bribery charges, was jailed again after 251 days.

Former President Lee appealed to resentment to the end, saying he could limit himself but not the truth.

In front of former President Lee Myung-bak’s home in Nonhyeon-dong, Seoul, where tension has been circulating since early morning before his reincarceration.

The door opens around 1:45 pm, and a mixture of cheers from supporters and apologetic protests, former President Lee Myung-bak’s vehicle pulls out of the house.

The destination was the Seoul Central District Prosecutor’s Office, which was in charge of executing the sentence, and arrived at the Prosecutor’s Office at 2:00 p.m., where the attendance hours were correctly established.

After entering the underground parking lot, which is a private assistance passage, simple procedures such as identification and notice of execution were carried out.

After completing all the procedures in just five minutes, the former president was immediately transferred to the prosecutor’s vehicle and then back to the detention center.

Arrive at Seoul’s Dongbu Detention Center, the place of reincarnation, at 2:40 pm.

After leaving home, it took less than an hour to get to the detention center through the prosecution.

Former President Lee has not appeared anywhere during the trip, nor has he made a personal statement.

However, he appealed to resentment to the end, saying that although he could be arrested through a lawyer, he could not contain the truth.

The helpers I worked with said these words, saying they would get through this by faith when they fired him.

Even on the day the 17-year incarceration ended, Lee also said that the Supreme Court was unfair and that the truth would surely be revealed.

In principle, the sentence will be carried out immediately after the Supreme Court ruling on the 29th of last month, but the entire procedure was completed in four days as former President Lee requested a postponement for reasons such as hospital treatment.

As a result, former President Lee, who had been tried at home after being released six days after being sentenced to the court of appeal, was imprisoned again after 251 days.

As a result of the prosecution’s execution of the sentence, the former president’s courtesy, including security and safety, was practically interrupted.
