Democratic Party lawmaker Jeong Jeong-soon, who was arrested by the prosecution on charges of violating the Public Officials Election Law, is under investigation.

While the prosecution continues a high-intensity investigation, such as calling the accountant in charge of the electoral field for the electoral field, the possibility of requesting an arrest warrant is being discussed.

However, Chung is reported to have stubbornly denied the allegations surrounding him, including tax fraud and allegations of receiving illegal political funds.

As a result, it is known that the prosecution conducted a cross-examination with Mr. A, the account manager of the electoral field, who was the first to raise suspicions.

Mr. A is the person who provided the prosecution with the transcripts and ledgers containing the circumstances of the accounting irregularities after the general election.

The deadline for Chung’s arrest is around 11 a.m. Monday, 48 hours after the warrant was executed.

As it is said that the prosecution has already obtained considerable data and testimony, the possibility of requesting an arrest warrant is also raised once the investigation is completed.

In this case, the prosecution does not need to obtain the consent of the National Assembly again, and the final decision is made by questioning the suspect before the arrest of the court.

Apart from the prosecution’s investigation, Chung is first tried for violating the electoral law, the statute of which expired on the 15th, and is about to be tried.
