Over 100,000 New Confirmed Cases in US … ‘More Record’ Ahead of Presidential Election

Four days before the US presidential election, the number of new coronavirus (Corona 19) infections in the United States exceeded 100,000 for the first time a day.

Reuters reported on the 30th (local time) that the number of new confirmed cases per day reached 10,233 as a result of its own tally. The number of new confirmed cases collected by Reuters the day before was 91,000.

Reuters reported that the number of confirmed cases accumulated in the United States so far exceeded 9 million for the first time.

Previously, the Daily Washington Post (WP) counted the number of new confirmed cases in the United States at 98,000 that day. The New York Times (NYT) count was 92,000.

The number of new confirmed cases in the United States surpassed 100,000 in just one week after breaking the 80,000 mark for the first time on the 23rd.

According to the WP, new infections per day in 16 states broke the previous record. NYT reported that new records were set in 11 states, including Wyoming, North Dakota, Utah, Montana, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Ohio.

Illinois has the most corona19 patients, with 8489, and North Dakota and South Dakota have recently ranked first and second in the United States with the rate of corona19 infected by population.

In the United States, the number of patients nationwide is increasing rapidly as the reproliferation of Corona 19 in the fall is in full swing. In terms of the number of new patients per day, Corona 19 is spreading more steeply than the reproliferation in July, which peaked at the 70,000 level.
