[아시아경제 최은영 기자] The president of the United States, Donald Trump, who faces the challenge of re-election, ended the preliminary vote in Florida ten days before the presidential election. Florida is home to the largest number of presidential votes among the six contenders for this presidential election, and it is a must-win for a successful reelection.

According to foreign media, President Trump ended the preliminary vote at the polling place in front of his golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida, on the morning of the 24th (local time). It is 10 days before the presidential elections on November 3.

After the vote, it was discovered that President Trump had told reporters that “I voted for a man named Trump.”

Furthermore, the foreign press said that President Trump repeated the existing claim that “(the pre-field vote) is a very secure vote. It is much safer than a vote by mail.”

Outside the polling place, hundreds of supporters shouted “four more years.” President Trump wore a mask during the vote, but after approaching the waiting reporters, he removed it.

The Florida area, where President Trump previously voted in advance, is the home of President Trump’s speech. He lived in the Trump Tower in Manhattan, New York, and moved there last year.

Florida is home to the largest number of presidential electors (29 members) among the six contending states in this year’s presidential election, and it is seen as having to win for President Trump to succeed in re-election. He had campaigned here twice the day before.

That day, his wife, Melania Trump, did not appear on the scene. Ms. Melania is reportedly staying in Washington, DC.

White House spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham said Ms. Melania will vote at the location in Florida where she is on Election Day.
