A foreigner staying at the COVID-19 quarantine facility escaped from the quarantine facility by digging the ground five hours before leaving. Police are searching for CCTV-based traffic lines, but the whereabouts remain curious. Reporter Park Seo-kyung reports. A 24-year-old man, A, who arrived from Indonesia on 21 last month, remained in a Corona 19 temporary housing facility for two weeks of mandatory quarantine. However, on the night of the 4th, he suddenly disappeared from the premises, leaving about 5 hours of isolation. A temporary wall is installed at the main door of the facility for quarantine. It is estimated that Mr. A dug into the dirt under the wall and escaped. Two to three hundred foreign immigrants were quarantined at the facility. Approximately two police officers were constantly monitoring the area around the building, but Mr. A could not be caught. At admission, Mr. A tested negative on the Corona 19 test and did not complain of any symptoms. The police are following Mr. A’s path based on CCTV. This is not the first time that foreigners have fled during the period of self-isolation. In early July, in Gimpo city, Gyeonggi province, three Vietnamese people who were quarantined for a week were captured after escaping the facility with a stubborn plane. In August, a Vietnamese man who had been released for three days escaped through the window of a room on the fifth floor where he was staying and was arrested at eight hours. It’s frustrating trying to make money. Each gave reasons, but all were forced to leave the country in accordance with the Infectious Disease Prevention Act.
