Pediatric and adolescent multi-organ inflammation syndrome is a specific case reported in children and adolescents infected with Corona 19 in Europe and the United States since April of this year. According to quarantine authorities, multiple organ inflammatory syndrome in children and adolescents has occurred to date in 935 people in the United States, of which 19 have died. In France and the United Kingdom, 79 and 78 were reported, respectively, with 1 and 2 deaths respectively. The first case, an 11-year-old boy, remained in the Philippines from January to March this year, and was hospitalized from April 29 to May 11 for fever and abdominal pain.

The boy was initially classified as a non-conforming case at the expert judgment meeting after reporting on May 25. However, as the positive results were confirmed in the antibody test performed later, the final case was confirmed at the expert case evaluation conference held on the 28th of last month.

The second case is still 12 years old. He was discharged after being hospitalized from August 19 to September 1, but was hospitalized from 14 to 23 last month for fever and abdominal pain. Jeong Eun-kyung, director of Bang Dae-bon, said: “The level of COVID-19 is relatively low compared to Europe and the United States, and the outbreak of multi-organ inflammatory syndrome in children and adolescents is rarely reported.” And we will continue to operate the investigation ”.
