The approval rating of President Moon Jae-in, who has celebrated the fourth Chuseok since the inauguration, was found to be in the bottom 40%.

Controversy over real estate policy and the suspicion of preferential treatment for Minister Choo Mi-ae’s son have led to a downward trend. In particular, there have been many negative evaluations of the Korean government’s response to the assassination of North Korean officials.

In several opinion polls conducted before Chuseok, the state administration’s assessment for President Moon Jae-in was in the bottom 40%.

In most opinion polls, positive and negative evaluations took the lead.

First, looking at the results of the poll commissioned by KBS from the public opinion polling agency Casestat Research, 47.0% of those surveyed said President Moon is doing well in state administration.

48.6% of those surveyed said they were doing it wrong, 1.6 percentage points more than the positive evaluation.

In the surveys commissioned by TBS from Real Meter, the positive assessment remained at 44.2%, while the negative assessment reached 51.9%, widening a gap of 7.7 percentage points.

On the other hand, in opinion polls commissioned by MBC, there were more evaluations that they were doing well.

The positive rating was 51.5%, which was 7.3 percentage points higher than the negative rating of 44.2%.

Compared to the fourth-year approval rating of the previous regime, it remains high, but has steadily declined after hitting 71% approval rating on the third anniversary in May.

After the controversy over the real estate policy, it is analyzed that the suspicion of the preferential treatment of the son of the Minister of Justice, Chu Mi-ae, for the prolonged military leave was a negative factor.

In particular, the recent attack by North Korean military officials appears to have caused approval ratings to drop.

In the KBS poll, 54.9% of respondents said they were doing wrong regarding North Korean policy, more than 40% of those who said they were doing well, and even more about the case of assassination of North Korea, the Korean government was more likely to respond incorrectly.

In the MBC survey, 53.4% of respondents said inter-Korean cooperation should stop, more than 43.4% of respondents said dialogue and cooperation should be addressed.

In the future, when the regular National Assembly takes place in earnest, the controversy over the incident with Minister Chu Mi-ae and the attack on the West Sea is expected to intensify.

During the Chuseok holidays, it is noteworthy what kind of card President Moon will draw to save the power of the state administration.
