September exports 48.05 billion dollars
7 months after Corona 19’s conviction
Earnings also increased $ 39.17 billion
Korea’s exports increased in 7 months despite the spread of a new coronavirus infection (Corona 19). The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy announced on the 1st that in September of this year exports reached 48.05 million dollars, an increase of 7.7% over the previous year. It is the highest export growth rate since October 2018.

During the same period, revenues increased 1.1% to $ 39.17 billion, the first positive since Corona 19. The trade balance posted a surplus for five consecutive months, reaching the highest level in two years, of $ 8.88 billion.
Excluding the number of business days, average daily exports decreased 4.0% to $ 2.89 billion.
The Industry Ministry noted that it simultaneously achieved total exports of $ 40 billion and average daily exports of $ 2 billion, the level before Crown 19. All of these are highest this year.
By item, 10 of the top 15 items showed strong performance. Semiconductors (11.8%), machinery in general (0.8%) and automobiles (23.2%), the first, second and third most important export items, all registered positive results in 23 months. These items represent 35% of all exports.
Household appliances (30.2%), secondary batteries (21.1%), biohealth (79.3%), computers (66.8%), auto parts (9.4%), textiles (11.4%) and steel (1.8%) also showed strong strength.
By contrast, ships (-3.0%), displays (-1.9%), petrochemicals (-5.3%), wireless communication devices (-12.5%) and petroleum products (-44.2%) showed slowness.
By region, in 23 months, the four main markets: USA (23.2%), China (8.2%), the European Union (EU, 15.4%) and ASEAN (4.3% ) achieved positive results. Furthermore, exports to the Indian region also increased by 28.2%. Exports to Japan (-6.0%), the Middle East (-9.7%), Latin America (-27.6%) and the CIS (-16.6%) decreased.
