British Foreign Minister Dominic Raab visited Korea for the first time and met with Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-hwa to discuss the main issues between the two countries.
On the morning of the 29th, Rab met with Minister Kang Kyung-hwa at the Foreign Ministry building in Doryeum-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, and held a strategic dialogue with Foreign Minister Han-young .
Before the strategic dialogue, Minister Kang Kyung-wha said, “The UK is our main partner in all fields such as trade, politics, culture, finance, etc.” Thank you.”
Minister Kang said: “The British sent the second largest number of troops during the Korean War (after the United States), lost many lives and held a special position in our hearts.” “I am grateful for Prime Minister Johnson’s message.”

“The UK has two big events ahead of this year in Glasgow, the chair of the UN Climate Change Group and participation in the G7 meeting,” Rab said. “We look forward to working closely with Korea on all issues.”
Meanwhile, Minister Rab said: “The visit was very educational and reminded us that we fight together for common values. We are proud that 80,000 British soldiers fought in the Korean War.” I expressed my feelings.
