A package of 50,000 won bills comes out of a small safe at home.

This is the profit from the crime revealed in the course of the police seizure and search at the home of a member of the organization who has been conducting illegal money exchange business while running 6,000 adult PC rooms in Korea.

A, 45, formed an organization called ‘Star Money’ with his accomplices in 2018, then changed the virtual game money used in PC rooms into real money and collected commissions.

The currency exchange itself is illegal, but to charge a fee close to 10% per game, gaming products such as go-stop and poker installed in the PC room were arbitrarily modified.

In the past two years, the illegal income obtained in this way has exceeded 11 billion won.

The reason Mr. A’s party was caught was an infectious disease.

I had my office in Qingdao, China to avoid tracking, but in January when the 19th crown was extended to China, it was in Gumi, Gyeongsangbuk-do.

After an investigation by the police that captured the crime, all were captured on the 10th.

Police arrested five people, including General Manager A and management, for violating the law of the gaming industry and opening games of chance.

Eighteen people involved, such as the adult owner of the PC cafe who made a passbook for the middle name or collected money in between, were also arrested and turned over to the prosecution.

In the future, the plan is to track down accounts like Mr. A’s and seize all the illegal proceeds.
