The government is paying new funds expected to 2.93 million small businesses suffering from Corona 19.
Subjects will receive a maximum of 2 million won out of 1 million won sequentially starting this Friday.
Additionally, 500,000 won in incentives are also awarded to re-challenge 200,000 small business owners who have closed their businesses after August 16.
Let’s hear the report from Minister Park Young-sun from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups connecting the Seoul Government Complex.
[박영선 / 중소벤처기업부 장관]Hi. I am Park Young-sun, Minister of Small and Medium Enterprises, who is ushering in a great transformation towards a digital economy and a smart Korea.
For small business owners suffering from the spread of Corona 19, the government and National Assembly provided 3.3 trillion won for the ‘New Hope Fund for Small Business Owners’ and KRW 100 billion in the’ Store Retry Challenge. Closed ‘until the fourth supplement.
I will briefly explain the address and general content, and the detailed details will be explained by the head of the Small Business Policy Division.
First, let me tell you about the ‘New Hope Small Business Fund’.
The ‘New Hope Fund for Small Entrepreneurs’ is the first special grant for small business owners suffering from the spread of Corona 19.
In addition, it is significant that it is an easy-to-use, off-site support fund that uses administrative information to preselect the target audience and is applied online without separate documents.
First, the support targets were divided into general and specially damaged industries.
General industry is a small business with annual sales of less than 400 million won in ’19 and a decrease in sales in ’20 compared to the previous year. We provided 1 million won for all of these people.
Businesses especially harmed are small business owners who have difficulty doing business due to government bans and trade restrictions.
These people support regardless of the size of sales or declining sales, and are limited to 2 million won for singing practice ranges, danlan pubs, and businesses that are prohibited from meeting such as entertainment pubs and collatechs that reflect the budget of support in the National Assembly. 1.5 million won is paid for the industry
The following is the payment procedure.
In principle, the ‘expedited payment procedure’ that applies without submitting separate documents is, in principle, and only in cases where it is unavoidable, we plan to apply through the ‘confirmation payment procedure’ after submitting the supporting documents online.
First, 2.4 million small businesses subject to quick pay were identified using administrative information such as the National Tax Service and Health Insurance.
All of these people can receive at least 1 million KRW in their account after a day or two if they apply online without submitting separate documents.
A text message will be sent to those eligible for payment starting today (23) in the afternoon, and you can request it by means of a simple identity verification on the internet home page connected to the text message.
However, in the case of particularly damaged industries, the type of business and the national tax code do not match, and the collective prohibition and trade restrictions apply differently for each local government, making them difficult to apply collectively.
Therefore, we plan to accelerate the payment of 1.5 or 2 million won to 7 companies *, 270,000 people clearly classified by the national tax code among the especially damaged industries.
We plan to apply after Chuseok as soon as the list of local governments etc. is confirmed for specially damaged industries that received only 1 million won this time or were not eligible for support.
If the desired new fund is eligible for support, but is not included in the accelerated payment target (241 million people), such as missing tax information,
Separately, supporting documents can be prepared and applied online in principle, and payment will be made after confirming eligibility.
Details on the confirmation payment procedure will be provided later.
Next, there’s the ‘Small Business Owner Re-Challenge Incentive for Closed Stores’.
It is a company that pays 500,000 won to 200,000 people to support reorganization activities such as employment and the restart of small business owners that are closed.
Supporting targets are small business owners who report business closure after August 16 and must maintain business for at least 3 months prior to closing and have sales records.
Additionally, you must complete an hour of online rehabilitation training provided by Small Business Market Promotion Corporation.
The application / reception / training courses are available through the dedicated website (www.Retry Subsidies.kr).
The application process will be the same as for the new desired fund, without submitting separate documents, and only in cases where it is unavoidable, we will receive the supporting documents online and pay for them after confirmation.
Those who report the closing of business from August 16 to 9.16 can start paying before Chuseok, and those who report the closing of business on September 17 can pay within 11 days of the request date.
The amount prepared by the government would be insufficient for the magnitude of the damage.
Please understand that it is an unavoidable option to support as many small businesses as possible under limited financial conditions.
For more details, the Director of the Office of Small Business Policy will provide additional explanations.
Thank you.
