Established ‘National Shareholder Support Project’ this year
Financial support for the investment of residents and the installation of facilities
Efforts to develop an optimal location for offshore wind energy
A budget of 271 billion won was reflected in the field of renewable energy, the core of the Green New Deal, through an additional supplement in July. The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy (Ministry of Industry) has announced an active financial support plan, such as organizing 4.9 trillion won, which is more than this year, for the renewable energy sector for the Green New Deal next year. year.
In cooperation with the Ministry of Industry, the Corporation is working with the Ministry of Industry to create early achievements in the Green New Deal ▶ New and Renewable Energy Financial Support Project (National Shareholder Support Project, Solar Power on Farms, solar energy in industrial complexes) ▶ Public-led large-scale offshore wind farm development support project You are actively promoting renewable energy supply support projects.
Among the financial support projects for new and renewable energy, the ‘National Shareholder Support Project’, which was established recently this year, is a project reflecting a total budget of 365 billion won. Long-term, low-interest loans are backed up to 90% (within 4% of the total project cost).
This project is promoted to revitalize the resident participating renewable energy generation project in which power generation companies and residents can share profits. It is expected to contribute to improving the acceptability of renewable energy based on resident participation.
The newly established “Industrial Complex Solar Support Project” was reflected in a 100 billion won budget as an additional supplement. This is a project that provides credit support of up to 90% of the cost when solar installations are installed on the roof, parking lot and factory downtime to efficiently utilize the plant downtime and improve independence energy of the industrial complex, which is a representative space that consumes energy.
Furthermore, in accordance with the ‘Offshore Wind Power Generation Plan’ announced by the government in July, the Corporation is also making efforts to expand offshore wind power that coexists with residents and coexists with the fishing industry. As this year’s new project, we are proactively verifying the optimal location for offshore wind power, and promoting the ‘Gonggong-do Offshore Wind Power Complex Construction Support Project’ to develop a large offshore wind power complex. sustainable.
This project is a project to support the budget required for pre-validation, such as environmental, acceptability and commercial feasibility for the development of a large-scale offshore wind farm (GW class) run by local governments. An official from the industrial complex explained: “Through this project, the expansion of offshore wind farms can be planned” and “We hope that the projects led by the local government will ensure regional acceptance and environmental properties and contribute to the growth of the industry. national wind power “.
In addition, as a support organization for the ‘RE 100’ campaign, which converts 100% of corporate electricity consumption into renewable energy, the Corporation has established a system for confirming the purchase and use of renewable energy through implementation aimed at companies that consume electricity (100GWh / year). It plans to actively support the use of renewable energy on a voluntary basis by companies and businesses.
In addition, the Corporation is promoting a new project to support the supply of renewable energy that subsidizes part of the cost of installing new renewable energy facilities such as self-consumed solar energy in habitable facilities such as houses and buildings. Since the 25th of last month, it has been receiving requests for additional support totaling KRW 50.3 billion through the third new additional green deal.
