The second phase of national social distancing will last for two weeks starting tomorrow, and the metropolitan area will maintain reinforced quarantine measures for another week.

When we think about how difficult people are, there is no stopping it. Many citizens have been struggling with each day and are obeying the quarantine rules. The quarantine regulations that people have been struggling with are helping to protect the Republic of Korea.

Even today, there are countless people who are making individual sacrifices for the well-being of the community. Small and medium-sized merchants and small business owners who cannot survive the day are closing their stores to block infectious diseases.

It is their livelihood and the future of their children that they have walked. How terrible and how hard it will fall. The government will consider and implement it as soon as possible so that the sacrifices of all citizens do not become public holidays.

Since the people have protected the country, the government will have to do more to protect the people.

We are well aware of the hard work of the quarantine officials who are working hard. Thank you. Let’s work a little more.

Although it’s difficult now, don’t lose your sense of mission that your hard work will protect people’s health and lives. When we follow the quarantine rules thoroughly, we can protect people’s lives, people’s lives, and even the economy of ordinary people.

Thanks to the active cooperation of many people, the number of confirmed cases has gradually decreased over the past two weeks, but it is still too early to alleviate it. We must build on the current momentum and reliably reduce the number of confirmed cases to less than 100 per day.

Recently, there was a case of being caught as a religious consumption report after moving to Daejeon to avoid the quarantine network in the metropolitan area. Additionally, violations such as door-to-door sales and expedited sales after 9pm continue to occur that neutralize the strenuous efforts of most people. The government will make no concessions or compromises in an attempt to make the people’s devotion and sacrifices go to waste.

The government will deliberately reject quarantine regulations and strengthen enforcement and inspection until acts of cover-up and obstruction are eradicated. And if any illegal activity is confirmed, we will strictly respond with the principle of zero tolerance.

With the Chuseok holiday approaching four weeks in the future, we are more concerned than welcome. Today, group infections do not end in all parts of the country and almost every day, so I am concerned that the Chuseok holiday will turn into a new proliferation.

At today’s meeting, we will discuss the quarantine measures for the Chuseok holidays. I ask people to minimize movement and take time off while staying home as much as possible during this holiday season.

The government will take steps to reduce the use of public transportation and lower density. In particular, we ask that you actively use means other than face-to-face, such as online graves and invitation services for bees. Please establish measures for the welfare of the Chuseok people, which are being prepared together with the relevant ministries, such as the Ministry of Equipment, to accurately reflect these quarantine measures.

I hope this Chuseok is a holiday that puts the health and safety of my family and friends first.

The 10th Typhoon High Line approaches the Korean Peninsula before the wounds from Typhoon Myssac have healed. Unlike the initial prediction that it will penetrate inland, it is expected to pass through the East Sea, as it is a very strong typhoon, so be prepared. Relevant ministries and local governments are urged to take preventive and drastic measures in areas where damage is a concern due to storms, tsunamis, river flooding and landslides.

In particular, as typhoons sweep through Korea during the day, people are encouraged to maintain their own safety by refraining from daily activities. Thank you.
