The Korean Council of Elders, this weekend hears the opinions of the elders and marks the policy?
[기자]The Korean Medical Council is expected to decide whether to return to treatment next Monday, the 7th, after gathering the opinions of leading doctors over the weekend.
According to the medical community, it is known that Park Ji-hyun, chairman of the Emergency Response Committee of the Greater Council, announced that the meeting will be held on the afternoon of the 7th.
The meeting says that it will be discussed whether to continue the collective action or what conditions will be imposed on the government and the ruling party if it returns.
Until now, the Council of Elders has adhered to the stern position that “if even a single doctor or medical student is being harmed, the group action cannot be stopped.”
However, it is analyzed that it will be difficult to enforce a denial of medical treatment, as the medical association has already decided to return, and criticism for leaving the medical field despite the Corona 19 incident is increasing.
Seo Yeon-ju, Vice Chairman of the Council of Elders, posted a post on social media that said, “It will be very difficult for the moment, but I will do my best to fill the vacant positions.”
It was corrected a few hours later, but was interpreted as suggestive of a possible return.
Immediately after the agreement with the Medical Association, the government dropped the charges against the doctors and delayed the deadline for resubmitting the national doctor’s exam until midnight on the 6th.
The Medical School Student Association and the Graduate School of Medicine are known to be discussing countermeasures.
Since more than 90% of medical students have refused to take the exam, their movement is also expected to be a turning point in this group break.
