The French professional soccer league (first league), which had been suspended due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection (Corona19), ended the season early for the first time among the five largest leagues in Europe.

The French Professional Soccer Federation (LFP) officially announced the early end of the first season (Korean time). First place Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) won the championship.

PSG scored 68 points (22 wins, 2 draws, 3 losses) at the time the league stopped, ahead of second place Marseille (16 wins, 8 draws, 4 losses, 56 points). As a result, LFP decided to acknowledge PSG’s victory even at the end of the season.

The PSG championship team, second place Marseille and third place Stade Ren (50 points) won the European Championship League (UCL) next season. The fourth place reel (49 points) will compete in the Europa League. This is an unfortunate decision for Reel, who lost 1 point to Stade Ren.

Lignant intended to resume in July, ending the season with Corona 19. However, the government decided not to hold a large-scale sporting event until September, and finally decided to end it prematurely.

Lighan is ranked in the top five leagues in Europe, along with the British Premier League, the Spanish Primera Liga, the Italian Serie A and the German Bundesliga. Four leagues, in addition to the League, are still suspended and are discussing the timing of the restart.
