In front of the building at the Seoul Detention Center, cars are lined up for a long time, and people wearing protective clothing are busy.

A mobile mobile screening clinic was installed to evaluate the corona19 for prison staff.

As it was confirmed that prison guard A, who reported that he was in close contact with the confirmed patient, the Seoul Detention Center had an emergency to stop the infection.

The suspected route of infection was ‘Itaewon Club’.

It is because the Gwanak-gu patient No. 46, who went to the ‘King Club’ of Itaewon, came into contact with the Dobong-gu patient No. 10, and it was found that this Dobong-gu patient went to the ward karaoke game with the guard’s friend.

Hearing the confirmation of a friend, Mr. A reported this to the detention center and was immediately examined.

Previously, Mr. A worked in a detention center from 11-13 after attending a wedding.

When interviewing strangers, such as lawyers, the frequency of contact was high, since they were in charge of bringing prisoners to the meeting room, with only 254 inmates contacted for three days and 23 colleagues.

Fortunately, six employees in close contact with the detention center were negative, but the rest of the 271 were quarantined and tests are ongoing.

In order to prevent the spread of the virus, not only general interviews, but also public and legal advisory interviews were suspended.

In the metropolitan area after Daegu and Gyeongbuk, concerns about collective infections are growing again, as several cases have been confirmed in correctional facilities where many prisoners live in densely populated areas.
