It was discovered that ‘God God’ Moon Hyeong-wook, 24, who was arrested for producing and distributing sexual exploitation of minors for the first time when opening the first ‘n-room’ telegram, never made a profit for crime. The motive for the crime was remarkably different from that of Joo-bin Joo, 25, who is known to have made huge criminal profits through the operation of the ‘Dr. Telegram.

On the morning of the 14th, the Gyeongbuk Provincial Police Agency held an investigative briefing on Moon Hyung-wook, “God God”, at the Gyeongbuk Police Agency in Andong, Gyeongbuk Province. Moon has been accused of producing and distributing sexual exploitation of adults from September 2018 to January this year (as violations of the Protection of Children and Youth Act).

The Kyungpook Police Agency, which has been tracking Mr. Moon since July last year, arrested him while receiving a “God God” confession while summoning Mr. Moon on the 9th. Moon is considered to have been the person who created the chat room to share sexual exploitation in the telegram before Jo Joo-bin, who was arrested. “Gat Gad” has been evading the police investigation while 400 criminals involved in the production and distribution of sexual exploitation such as Joo-bin Joo have been arrested.

According to the police, Moon approached a boy or teenager who published a photo of his body on the social network service (SNS) and said: “They have denounced me, but I will help him.” I used a technique. Initially, after requesting a body exposure photo, he gradually raised the water level to produce sexual exploitation and distributed it to SNS.

In addition to rooms 1 to 8 known so far, Moon opened 12 rooms, including the “garbage room,” and received cultural gift certificates and showed videos and photos of sexual exploitation for those who entered the room. Police said more than 3,000 sexual exploits produced and distributed by Mr. Moon combined videos and photos.

However, unlike Jo Joo-bin, who received a different admission fee based on the level of sexual exploitation, Moon received a 10,000-won cultural gift voucher in the first room and paid a total of 900,000 won. The cultural vouchers received in this way were also delivered to the victims so that they could not report them. Police believe Moon’s motive for committing the crime is “sexual taste.”

'Gat Gad', the first to open 'n Room', a chat room for sharing sexual exploitation, was revealed to be Moon Hyung-wook, a 24-year-old college student. The Gyeongbuk Provincial Police Agency on the 13th was arrested for violating the Child and Youth Protection Law. We publish personal information. Mr. Moon was confident that he would not be caught and voluntarily assisted the Gyeongbuk Police Agency in response to the police request for a subpoena investigation on the 9th. But the decisive evidence that broke his trust was the cell phone that shot in 2017.

Seo Dong-hyun, head of cyber security at the Gyeongbuk Police Agency, said, “The decisive evidence that caused Mr. Moon to confess is that the cell phone Moon used and discarded in 2017.” Mobile phones are said not to have been used to perform sexual exploits. It was an investigation, so there was no specific explanation, but it seems that Mr. Moon directed or contacted other accomplices through this mobile phone.

At first, Moon, who flatly denied that he was not “God,” confirmed the decisive evidence and confessed to his crimes and displayed a cooperative attitude toward the police investigation. He said the crime started in July 2015. In 2017, Moon, a university student, was found to have worked as a social worker at a child care institution, and police are investigating whether the crime was committed even during this period.

To date, the police have identified a total of 10 victims as minors. The police are working with the Ministry of Gender and Family Equality and the Deliberation Committee on Broadcasting and Communication to protect victims, including eliminating and blocking sexual exploitation, as well as counseling and linking victims. The police are also aware of the additional victims, as Mr. Moon himself said: “The number of victims is 50.”

Police also arrested three of the four criminals who participated in Moon’s crimes. Those in their 20s and 30s are accused of sexually assaulting or performing sexual exploits for minors or intimidating them in accordance with Moon’s instructions. Those who spread or possess sexual exploitation also identified 160 and arrested three of them. Police are investigating that there will be more accomplices than those arrested.

Kim Hee-jung, head of the Gyeongbuk Police Agency, said: “If you have been a victim of crime or hesitate to report due to concerns about your identity, we hope that you will actively report and seek help from related organizations such as the police.”

Meanwhile, police plan to send Moon to the prosecution on the 18th. Prosecutor Song Chi-moon is expected to reveal the masked face to the media.
