The Hydrogen Industry Association signed trade agreements with Mando Co., Ltd … Promoting business expansion
Boost expected by promoting green hydrogen production and introducing charging station operation solutions
On that day, the KTO signed a trade agreement with the Korea Hydrogen Industry Association with the main contents of ‘Green hydrogen production and carbon emissions procurement’ and Mando Co., Ltd. ‘Development of an operation solution of cloud-based hydrogen charging station ‘.
The agreement with the Hydrogen Industry Association aims to promote the green hydrogen business using biogas. We will jointly discover green hydrogen projects that use biogas and unused energy, develop new projects to revitalize the hydrogen economy, and cooperate with each other to expand the hydrogen charging infrastructure.
On the basis of this agreement, the KTO and the Association plan to recruit companies, local governments and public institutions interested in the method of extracting hydrogen from biogas, and jointly conduct a pre-feasibility study to demonstrate green hydrogen production technology.
Along with this, KDHC decided to cooperate with the aim of jointly developing cloud and Mando based hydrogen charging station operation solutions and services and apply them to hydrogen charging station operation.
Mando, a specialist in auto parts, has developed H2Care, an exclusive application for hydrogen vehicles, and provides real-time information on the status and operation of each hydrogen charging station to hydrogen vehicle drivers throughout the world. country. As of the end of February, Hicare provides information on 53 hydrogen charging stations across the country and has become a must-have app for hydrogen vehicle drivers, with approximately 90% of the 11,500 hydrogen vehicles registered in Korea.
In line with the reopening of the Yangjae Green Car Station on 1 last month, the KTO provided a newly developed cargo reservation service through the Hi-Care app, reducing unnecessary waiting time for users of the charging station and improving the stable operation of charging facilities. .
The two companies recently plan to apply an artificial intelligence-based vehicle waiting counting service to Yangjae Green Car Station with this business deal as an opportunity.
Mando will introduce the latest function that automatically counts the number of waiting vehicles by analyzing CCTV video information from Yangjae Green Car Station in real time with an artificial intelligence model developed by his company. When the service is successfully introduced, customers visiting the charging station can check the information about the vehicles currently waiting at the charging station in real time, and it is expected that they can quickly use it at a fixed time.
An official from Seoul Energy Corporation said: “It is important to secure green hydrogen production technology to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, and an effective hydrogen charging station operation system is essential to expand the supply of hydrogen vehicles. hydrogen”. construction will also keep pace ”, he emphasized.
Seoul Energy Corporation already opened and is operating the Sangam hydrogen station in October last year, which uses hydrogen produced directly on site in Korea to charge hydrogen cars. The two trade agreements are expected to further expand the scope of the hydrogen business, while accumulating experience in developing hydrogen-related technology and discovering new businesses.
KDHC, which pursues various new and renewable energy businesses, from solar energy to waste energy generation, is transforming itself from a collective energy company into an ‘environmentally friendly total energy company’ by actively working on the hydrogen business.
