Samsung Electronics Vice President Lee Jae-yong was jailed again yesterday after a ruling on the Kukjeong Nongdan ruling for destruction and repatriation.

The Samsung Group entered an emergency management system in the face of a ‘no total number’ crisis, and the Samsung Compliance Committee also operated normally.

However, as interviews in detention centers were restricted due to the Corona 19 situation, Vice President Lee’s “internal administration” faced a limit.

On the recommendation of the revocation review, the Compliance Committee established at Samsung expressed its intention to continue its activities in the future.

After the regular meeting scheduled for this month, the Compliance Committee plans to strengthen management follow-up activities by holding meetings with the executive directors of seven affiliates.

Earlier, the Vice President of the Court of Destruction and Removal sentenced Vice President Lee to prison, saying that the Compliance Committee did not comply with preventive monitoring activities.

After Vice President Lee’s apologies to the public in May last year, it is highly regrettable that Samsung has pursued several tangible changes, such as stopping the succession of children’s management rights and signing a collective labor and management agreement.

However, it is expected that the continuity of the activities of the Compliance Committee will continue to be guaranteed as it is included in the commitment to citizens.
