Amid the Arctic cold snap that froze the entire country, blackouts continued in many places.

Neighbors in the blackout area suffered great inconvenience.

Electricity to the apartment complex was cut off amid the carnal arctic cold snap.

Some apartment complexes in Seocho-dong and Yeoksam-dong, Seoul, had a power outage last night around 10 o’clock.

The place where the power supply was cut off was the officetel building, which housed more than 1,300 apartment units and 280 units in the surrounding area.

It’s around the place where the blackout occurred.

Currently, the temperature here is -15 degrees Celsius.

In the midst of a strong cold wave, residents suffered inconveniences such as not being able to use electric heating devices.

Except in some areas, the power supply was resumed around 11 at night, an hour later, but the blackout suffered in the middle of a strong cold wave, causing inconvenience to neighbors.

A power outage continued for 16 hours at an officetel building in Bangi-dong, Seoul, where more than a hundred households reside, and electricity resumed around 9:40 p.m.

[오피스텔 주민 : 전기에 대한 건 아무것도 안 되고 뭘 해먹을 수도 없고 이렇게 추운 날씨에 보일러도 안 되니까 춥고요.]

Some areas in Jangdeok-dong, Gwangju Metropolitan City, were cut off around 9:20 a.m. yesterday.

Power was resumed in about 4 hours, but 500 homes in the apartment complex and residents of nearby shopping centers had to suffer greatly from the cold.
