On Friday, Seoul’s temperature drops to -17 degrees Celsius, and up to 50 centimeters of heavy snow is said to fall on the west coast and islands.

The daytime temperature in Seoul is 3.5 degrees below zero.

With the blowing of the wind, the temperature that felt at -10 degrees Celsius was colder in the day than in the morning.

This is because the strong cold that was trapped at the North Pole pushes the middle latitudes.

Again, the temperature is expected to drop significantly as the cold season is dropping sharply to the south, into East Asia, including Korea.

Starting this morning, the temperature in Seoul will drop below -10 degrees Celsius.

Tomorrow is -14 degrees Celsius, and Friday – 17 degrees Celsius is falling, and it will be the coldest this winter.

Along with the arctic cold snap, heavy snowfall will be accompanied.

First of all, between tonight and tomorrow morning, the snow clouds at sea will reach inland, and a large amount of snow will cover most regions of the country except Yeongnam.

Then, starting tomorrow morning, heavy snowfall will be concentrated on the west coast, Jeju Island, Ulleungdo and Dokdo, and is expected to accumulate up to 50cm.

As the cold snap continued from late last year, damage such as freeze accidents and fish kills on farms are expected this week.

In addition, people with cold illnesses such as frostbite and hypothermia present themselves, and there is concern about damage to facilities such as greenhouses due to heavy snowfall and traffic nuisances such as flight cancellations and landslide accidents.

The Weather Administration predicted that the coldest, the worst in three years since 2018, will continue through Sunday and will moderate slightly.
