On the first day of the new year in 2021, the first day of the year, the sunrise points across the country looked very different from before. This is because the government and local governments have closed the sunrise points to prevent the spread of Corona 19. Many citizens who visited the controlled Palgakjeong Pavilion in Namsan, Seoul, looked at the rising sun around the Palgakjeong Pavilion. At the Seonyu Bridge in Yeongdeungpo-gu, after 08:00 check-in time, citizens gathered on the bridge to watch the sun. At Jamsu Bridge, Seocho-gu, where crowds were trying to watch the sunrise while avoiding controlled places, there were crowds of cars and citizens illegally parked on bike lanes and pedestrian crossings.
