Candidate Jin-wook Kim and Minister of Justice candidate Park Beom-gye went to the hearing prep office side by side to prepare for the staff check.

Both candidates, former judges, said they would go to the verification with a low attitude, but did not say they would reveal concerns about political neutrality at the staff hearings.

Candidate Jin-wook Kim, who took the subway to the hearing prep office for the first time.

The first thing I emphasized was that it gave the authority of the airlift to the people.

Justice minister candidate Park Beom-gye also visited the Seoul Senior Prosecutor’s Office for the first time, where the preparatory group office for the hearing will be organized, and met with officials.

Candidate Park emphasized ‘humility’ and ‘listening’, but was spared questions about his relationship with Attorney General Yoon Seok-yeol.

As both candidates begin to prepare for a full-blown hearing, the focus is now on the issues that will be up for discussion in the hearing.

Candidate Jin-wook Kim has experience as a judge, lawyer and investigator in the Constitutional Court, but his lack of investigative experience is seen as a weakness.

It was also argued that the referral committee explained that he was “ showing integrity ” and contradicting the fact that he lived in a private home valued at more than 1.2 billion won.

It is noted that candidate Park Bum-gye’s career ruling on the ‘Samnye Nara Super Robbery’ when he served as a judge may again be a problem.

It is also noted that there is the possibility of a conflict of interest in the event that Candidate Park is being prosecuted in the National Assembly fast track case and is being tried.

With both candidates forming a preparation team and preparing for the staff hearing, it is noteworthy if they can pass public verification.
