The number of confirmed cases, which had dropped to triple digits during the Christmas season, appears to have risen again as the number of tests increased.

By looking at the infection route, 1,025 people were found in Korea and 25 people came from abroad.

There are still many infected people in the metropolitan area.

There were 383 in Seoul, 274 in Gyeonggi and 48 in Incheon, with only 705 new patients in the metropolitan area.

In the area outside the capital, the patients came from 16 provinces across the country, excluding Jeonnam, including 49 in Daegu, 45 in Chungbuk, 38 in Busan, 36 in Gyeongnam and 32 in Jeonbuk.

Of the 25 confirmed foreign influxes, 11 were confirmed during the quarantine stage.

The additional death toll is 20 and the cumulative death toll is 879.

The number of patients with severe gastric disorders increased from 2 to 332.
