First of all, I will tell you about the news you have just received.

It is news that the crashed vessel was damaged by a high wave and floated to the breakwater near Jeju port.

Earlier, the time of the incident was around 7:40 p.m. yesterday.

There is a report that a fishing boat capsized in the sea, 2.6 km northwest of Jeju port.

The injured fishing vessel was confirmed to be a 39-ton Myung Minho, which was shipped to Hallim in Jeju City.

There were 7 people on board, including 4 Koreans and 3 Indonesians.

The Jeju Maritime Police, who had been reported and dispatched, found a capsized boat around 9:10 last night, 1.3 km north of Jeju port.

At the time of discovery, a rescue team climbed onto the hull and struck the hull, and the reaction on the ship was confirmed as a result of a crash test.

Since then, rescuers have been wearing scuba gear and trying to enter the helmet.

It is difficult to enter the boat due to bad weather and obstacles such as the nets of the fishing boats.

As you can see on the screen, a part of the bottom of the ship is still floating on the surface.

The Coast Guard has installed floating airbags and “lift bags” to prevent the ship from sinking and is attempting to enter the ship.

Local weather conditions are not good enough to be seen on screen, but has a storm warning been in effect on Jeju Island as well?

[기자]

If it is.

As of today at 0 o’clock, the storm warning has been in effect throughout Jeju Island.

In the sea of the accident, a very strong wind blows at 18 to 20 m per second,

The wave rises up to 5 m high.

As you can see on the screen, it is difficult to balance the boat due to the up and down jerking of the boat, making on-site rescue work difficult.

As the situation is difficult, Prime Minister Jeong Sye-gyun also ordered the mobilization of all possible ships, planes and rescue teams in connection with the accident.

Prime Minister Chung urged the Defense Minister to mobilize warships to assist in the search and provide support to facilitate night rescue activities, such as firing flares from aircraft.

Earlier, Minister of Public Administration and Security Jeon Jeon-cheol also ordered the search for the crew with all his might and asked to quickly identify the crew list to inform their families and do everything possible to provide support, such as site visits.

Eight hours have passed since the accident report was received, but no crew has yet been rescued.

We will notify you as soon as new news is delivered.

So far, the national department has delivered it.
