[정치]靑 “Secure Modena vaccine for 20 million more people … second quarter supply”

President Moon Jae-in and the CEO of Modenasa decided to sign a supply contract within the year for 20 million corona 19 vaccines through a video call.

The introduction of the vaccine is expected to occur early in the second quarter of next year.

As a result, Korea has secured a vaccine for 56 million people.

“We will supply 20 million people with 40 million doses of vaccine to Korea.”

Modena CEO Stefan Bansel made a direct appointment in a phone call with President Moon Jae-in.

This is double the amount of 20 million doses that were previously negotiated.

The offer period was also decided to move from the third quarter to the second quarter, if possible, even earlier.

The agreement on these terms is expected to be finalized before the year turns.

As a result, Korea has insured a total of 56 million people, adding 20 million people to the 36 million volumes of vaccines previously insured.

The government expects the volume to increase further after the ongoing negotiations with Novavex and Pfizer end.

In addition, Modena decided to sign a memorandum of understanding with the National Institute of Infectious Diseases to cooperate in the joint response to the pandemic, the development of vaccine material and clinical trials.

We also decided to strengthen the cooperation of our company to send modern vaccines.

A key member of the Blue House said President Moon’s phone call this year was the first time since President Bill Gates in the first half of the year.
