[사회]Government “Special forgiveness for the new year 3.024 … politicians and electoral criminals excluded”

Before New Year 2021, the government announced special pardons for 3,000 people.

Politicians or electoral criminals were not included in the pursuit of amnesty for the public welfare amid the expansion of Corona 19.

The fourth special pardon was granted to the government of Moon Jae-in.

Unlike last year, this time politicians and criminals who violated the Law on the Election of Public Officials were pardoned.

The amnesty of former Prime Minister Han Myung-sook and former Unified Progressive Party legislator Lee Seok-ki, who were mentioned in the envoy each time, also naturally failed.

Most of the mailing list was filled with ordinary livelihood instructors.

In the first place, 52 small and medium businessmen and small businessmen who were imprisoned for economic crimes, etc., that they had reasons to take into account, were exempted or reduced from executions.

Also included in the pardon were inmates with babies or married couples, inmates suffering from serious illnesses, 25 people in need of special consideration.

Approximately 2,200 people who had been suspended from execution or convicted of violating laws and regulations close to the life of ordinary people, such as the Road Traffic Law, were also pardoned and recovered from various qualification restrictions.

Along with 600 criminals overall who are not violent or corrupt crimes, 26 people related to the Jeju naval base or the THAAD deployment rally were also included as clemency targets.

The 3,024 people eligible for this special pardon were similar, except for the number of conscientious objectors included in last year’s special envoy.

The government has decided to grant special reductions and exemptions from administrative penalties even for 1.11 million people whose driving or fishing license, essential for social activities, is revoked or suspended.

However, drunk drivers, those who caused fatal accidents and violent drivers were excluded from the penalty reduction.
