Vice President Lee, who served as the prosecutor’s office, retired in 2013 after serving as the chief prosecutor’s office. He served as chairman of the May 18 Democratization Movement special investigative committee.
Both were recommended by the president of the Korean Bar Association, Lee Chan-hee, an ex officio member.
When President Moon Jae-in nominates one of them, he is appointed through the staff hearing of the National Assembly.
