In Japan, UK mutant virus infection cases are confirmed every day. With the possibility that the mutant virus has already spread to the market, there has been an emergency to secure beds before the Christmas season. Reports from Tokyo correspondent Lee Gyeong-ah. Other confirmed mutant virus infections in Japan include a man in his 30s who is an airplane pilot and a woman in his 20s who lives with him. The pilot was exempt from quarantine, so when he returned from England on the 16th, he entered the city without undergoing corona tests at the airport. The infection was confirmed a week later. This shows the possibility that a highly contagious mutant virus has already spread to the market. Japan’s National Institute of Infectious Diseases called for a full quarantine, saying mutant virus infections could increase in the future. The number of new confirmed cases in Japan was the highest for four consecutive days, rising to nearly 4,000 people a day. Amid the rapid increase in the number of infected people, an emergency ensued to secure beds before the Christmas season. 15 local governments, including the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, have announced that they will provide special subsidies to places where medical treatment is continued during the end of the year and New Year holidays. The Japanese government also plans to urgently support medical institutions that receive corona patients with an additional budget of approximately 3 trillion won. However, after the coronavirus outbreak, people are leaving the medical field. The Japan Nursing Association complained of a sense of crisis in the field, saying that working with a personal-only sense of mission is now limited as fatigue of medical staff has reached the highest level.
