The eyes of ruling and opposition politicians in the New Year are expected to align with the by-election of the mayor of Seoul and the mayor of Busan in April.
In particular, it is inevitable to have a life and death match for the mayor of Seoul.
It is analyzed that the domino effect is greater than ever in terms of the political weight of the mayor of the ‘presidency of the presidential election’, as well as the chronology of the path that leads to the presidential elections of 2022.
An all-out war between the ruling party and the opposition party is expected to regain power by defending the mayor of Seoul and recreating the government.
In terms of electoral engineering, the keyword is whether the opposition is ‘unified candidates’ and, in politics, real estate solutions are considered keywords.

◇ There is still one running to the past … 野, row by line
Also, in the Democratic Party, the fourth-line jung-jin Representative Sang-ho Woo declared the race.
Park Young-sun, Minister of Small and Medium-sized Businesses, and Representative Park Joo-min are also known to be arguing at the last minute about the possibility of running. He is expected to make a decision in early January at the latest.
The Democratic Party believes that voter interest will increase if the competitive structure is established, as Minister Park Young-seon, who maintains the lead in several opinion polls, casts a vote.
The opposition movement is more active. Former Songpa-gu Mayor Park Chun-hee, a member of the People’s Power, stopped running, and former Legislator Hye-hoon Lee, former Secretary-General Kim Seon-dong, Seocho-gu Mayor Cho Eun-hee, and former legislator Lee Jong-gu also officially announced the candidacy.
Former representative Na Kyung-won is weighing the race, and the possibility of first representative Kim Woong and Yoon Hee-suk is also being discussed.
There is a lot of demand from within and outside the party to “ go for salvation, ” including for former Seoul mayor Oh Se-hoon and former legislator Seung-min Yoo.
The composition of the opposition parties became more complicated when the representative of the Nationalist Party, Ahn Chul-soo, gave up his dream of becoming president and ran for mayor of Seoul.
Former legislator Geum Tae-seop, who left the Democratic Party, is also adjusting the timing of the official statement.

◇ 野 ‘Unification’ is not the case … Regarding the old correspondence card
The biggest problem before the Seoul mayor’s election is the opposition’s ‘unification of candidates’. It will act as a variable not only in the opposition’s competition structure at this time, but also in the ruling party’s response strategy.
Currently, there are three ways to unify the rights of the opposition ▲ A method to choose a candidate for the contest under the power of the people, the first opposition party, ▲ A method to attack a ‘big tent’ outside the power of the people and select a single candidate ▲ It is a method to go through the unification of party candidates.
Until the last minute, a fierce struggle between the people’s power and Ahn’s leadership is expected to continue.
The Democratic Party is thinking about how to respond.
Some people observe the trend of unification of the powers of the opposition and some opinions emerge with a personalized strategy.
Regardless of the person’s intentions, the rulings of Justice Minister Choo Mi-ae and former President Lim Jong-seok, head of the secretariat, are also being discussed.
This atmosphere is reflected in the fact that the Democratic Party has delayed deciding the re-election rules since early January. It is not too late to set the rules after the ‘player lineup’ is established.
◇ ‘Expansion of supply’ of real estate … “Free vaccination with vaccine”
The political keyword before the Seoul mayor’s election is “real estate.”
The ruling and opposition candidates promise to “get the house price back” by applying real estate policies.
Representative Sang-ho Woo, the only Democratic Party to run for office, pledged to expand 160,000 units of public housing.
Representative Lee Hye-hoon, the power of the people, proposed to install a roof on the Olympic Highway and build an apartment for young couples on the site. Former legislator Lee Jong-gu pledged to “supply 1.2 million houses over 10 years.”
Former Secretary-General Kim Seon-dong said that people 65 and older, a household and a homeowner, would be exempt from comprehensive real estate tax.
Corona 19’s response is also an important agenda. The promise of free vaccination is made for the citizens of Seoul from both the opposition and the opposition.
Along with this, the opposition is ready to highlight the ‘Democratic Party’s original sin theory’ by highlighting that it originated from the sex crimes of the former Democratic Party mayor. Passports are defined as a political offensive and focus on confrontation with real estate and crown policies.

◇ Busan mayoral elections are also ‘hot’ … Opposition is one after another
The Busan Mayor’s Election Edition is none other than Seoul.
Right now there are declarations of running for the opposition. The number of preliminary candidates for the people’s force registered with the Election Commission is 8, including former legislator Park Min-sik, Yoo Jae-joong, Lee Jin-bok, and Lee Eon-ju.
Representative Byung-soo Seo, who used to be the mayor of Busan, was mentioned as one of the top candidates, but declared that it was time for the younger generation to make a new history in Busan.
Some potential candidates have already started a full-blown campaign with greetings on the way to work.
The Democratic Party has yet to have a strong candidate to run for mayor of Busan.
As former legislator Kim Hae-young declared his nomination, the theory of the strategic nomination of the secretary general of the National Assembly, Kim Young-chun, and the selection of the chairman of the National Rights Committee, Jeon Hyun-hee, flow.
The electoral landscape is considered to be more unfavorable than that of Seoul, and the repercussions of the promises of the new airport construction card on Gadeokdo Island are less than expected.
It is also interesting to note that the ‘two seniors’ of the City of Busan, who have led the city administration since the resignation of former Busan Mayor Oh Geo-don, Busan Mayor Byeon Seong-wan and Deputy Economic Mayor Park Seong-hoon, are being discussed as candidates for the Democratic Party and people’s power, respectively.
