On Christmas morning, a vehicle exploded in the middle of downtown Nashville, the capital of the US state of Tennessee. Around 6 a.m. on Christmas morning, Nashville police were reported to have heard gunshots and were dispatched. Police found a message ringing in a recreational vehicle warning that a bomb would go off in 15 minutes. The recording contained a few minutes of warning: “If you hear a message, evacuate immediately.” Police knocked on the door of a nearby house to evacuate residents. The vehicle exploded at around 6:30 a.m., when the dangerous goods brigade was called and set off. Three people were taken to hospital in this explosion, but they are not known to be in critical condition. The United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) launched the investigation, seeing that it was likely a deliberate act rather than an accident. The mayor of Nashville stressed that they will surely find the people who caused the explosion.
