The number of confirmed cases of the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) in Seoul per day also exceeded 400.

The city of Seoul announced on the 26th that the number of new confirmed corona19 cases in Seoul on the 25th of Christmas Day was 466.

It was 86 down from 552 on the 24th, which was the highest record ever recorded, but an explosive spread continued as it recorded the second half of 400 again. It is the third-largest record in history, after 473 people on the 19th of this month.

Corona 19’s death toll in Seoul was 155, with 7 additional deaths identified in 24 hours. The route of infection of deaths 149 to 155 was a nursing hospital in Guro-gu (1 person), a sauna in Seocho-gu (2 patients), under investigation of the route of infection (3 patients) and contact with other confirmed patients (1 person). The 151st deceased who lived in Seocho-gu died a day after being confirmed on the 23rd.

The number of new confirmed cases in Seoul per day from the 15th to the 24th of this month is 378 → 423 → 398 → 384 → 473 → 328 → 317 → 375 → 319 → 552 → 466.11 It has been recording more than 300 people in a row .

The number of inspections skyrocketed to 58,658 cases on the 24th (including 36,000343 cases at the temporary inspection center), and then dropped significantly to 31,365 cases (15,575 cases at the temporary inspection center) on the 25th, which is a holiday.

Of the cases confirmed on the 25th, 9 were tributaries from abroad and 457 were local outbreaks, that is, domestic infections. Only 73 people were confirmed at the temporary screening lab in Seoul. The cumulative number of confirmed cases from the Seoul Temporary Inspection Office reached 634.

Group infection continues in high-risk facilities, such as nursing homes.

A total of 26 people were confirmed when a new group infection occurred at a nursing facility in Yangcheon-gu. After facility officials were first confirmed on the 21st, residents, co-workers and family members became infected one after another, and only 21 people were confirmed the day before. A total of 212 people involved were tested, 176 tested negative and 11 are waiting for the test results. Quarantine authorities have quarantined a cohort (the same group) within the facility and are investigating additional contacts and routes of infection.

In relation to the eastern detention center where a large-scale group infection occurred, five families of confirmed workers were further confirmed the day before, resulting in 519 cumulative infections (515 in Seoul). The quarantine authorities have temporarily closed this detention center.

Among other cases of group infection, 5 people related to Mapo-gu insurance company, 5 people related to Gangseo-gu church, 4 people related to Jongno-gu nursing facility, 4 related to the center were confirmed calls from Jung-gu and 3 related to Geumcheon-gu church.

There were 3 other groups of infections, 241 contacts with other confirmed patients and 16 contacts with other confirmed cases. The number of cases under investigation due to the unclear route of infection was 150, representing 32.2% of all new confirmed cases.

At 0 o’clock on the 26th, the cumulative total of confirmed cases in Seoul is 17,000. There were 7,433 patients in quarantine and 9,480 people were released from quarantine.
