US President Donald Trump, who has been in office for less than a month, has been subjected to tough polls.

In a survey four days ago, 42% of respondents “worst president”

USA Today and the University of Suffolk asked 1,000 voters in the United States on the 16th to the 20th, “How do you think history will evaluate President Trump?” As a result of the survey published on the 24th (local time), the most frequent response was 50.1% of the “failed president”. Along with the “great president” (16.3%) and the “good president” (13.2%), less than 30% of those surveyed were positive. In terms of President Trump’s accomplishments, economic policy (36%) received the highest score and racial issues (20%) were judged unsuccessful.

Public opinion was also unfavorable on the repeat of the 2024 presidential elections. When asked if they would elect Trump in the next presidential election, only 29.5% answered “I will”, but 55.8% said ” I will not do it”.

The political outlet The Hill reported that the polls contradicted the assessment received by his predecessor, President Barack Obama. In the same poll four years ago, 50% of those polled said that President Obama would be called a “great president” or a “good president.” Only 23% of those surveyed said they would become a “failed president.”

The results of this poll came after four days ago four out of ten Americans voted Trump the “worst president.” It was a poll conducted by Fox News and reported on the 20th, and 42% of those surveyed said, “I will be one of the worst presidents.” ^ “Average President” 10% ^ “Average President” 8% ^ “Average President” 16% and “One of the best presidents” 22%.

It was former President George W. Bush who received the harshest criticism in a similar poll by Gallup in the past. 36% of those surveyed said they will be evaluated negatively and will withdraw. CNN analyzed that this is quite a high number given that Americans generally do not evaluate the retiring president negatively. At the same time, however, he noted that the proportion (22%) rated the “best president” is also exceptionally high. It is a story that clearly shows the increasingly extreme political polarization.

In the USA Today and Suffolk University poll, President Trump’s assessment differed widely depending on the parties that supported him. 87% of Democratic supporters said Trump would be classified as a failed president, while 67% of Republican supporters said he was a great or good president.
