New confirmed cases of corona19 have crossed the 1,000 mark for two consecutive days.

The number of seriously ill and deceased patients is also increasing rapidly, with new cases of group infections now appearing in all corners of the country.

First, yesterday, did the number of new confirmed cases exceed 1,000?

At 0 o’clock today, there are 1,014 new cases.

There were 64 fewer people than yesterday, but it is the first time that it exceeds 1,000 people for two consecutive days.

As for the route of infection, only 993 people occurred in Korea and 21 people came from abroad.

When looking at domestic outbreaks by region, only 784 people in the metropolitan area, or 79% of the total.

There are 420 in Seoul, 284 in Gyeonggi and 80 in Incheon, the highest record since the Corona 19 outbreak.

In the non-metropolitan area, Busan was the largest with 44 people.

This was followed by 30 in Gyeongnam, 20 in Daegu and 19 in Chungbuk.

In particular, as the number of confirmed patients in their 60s and older increases, the number of deaths and seriously ill patients is also increasing rapidly.

Yesterday 22 more people died in one day, a record.

The cumulative number is 634.

The number of patients with severe gastric disorders increased from 16 to 242.

Are new cases of outbreaks continuing today?

If we look at the count as of 12:00 noon today, there are 15 cases of new outbreaks.

First, in the metropolitan area, 21 people in nursing hospitals in Guro-gu, Seoul, and 21 people in cases of contagion from work to families, schools and religious facilities were collectively infected.

Subsequently, 16 religious facilities in Anyang City, Gyeonggi-do, 11 high schools in Suwon City and 14 semiconductor companies in Icheon City were confirmed.

In the non-metropolitan area, group infections of about 10 people occurred one after another.

Eight people were confirmed at Goesan-gun Hospital, Chungcheongbuk-do, and 11 were confirmed at Jeungpyeong-gun Sauna.

Furthermore, four families in Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do, were confirmed and transferred to a nursing hospital, where seven were confirmed.

In the Yeongnam area, 5 religious facilities in Nam-gu, Daegu, 11 family gatherings in Gumi-si, Gyeongbuk, and 12 family members in Gyeongju-si, Gyeongbuk, were positive.

Subsequently, 17 people were confirmed at the building’s offices in Dong-gu, Busan, 9 public toilets in Dongnae-gu, Busan, and 12 kindergartens in Changwon, Gyeongnam.

In Jeju City, 19 people were collectively infected in religious facilities.

Do you think the government is not going to raise its distance to the third level immediately?

[기자]

The government believes that it is not up to two additional conditions for the three-stage upgrade, excluding the number of confirmed cases, the loss of control of the quarantine network or the collapse of the medical system.

Sohn Young-rae, head of the Strategic Planning Division, said at the morning briefing that if either happens, it will rise to stage three.

It is interpreted to mean that it is not the time for the third level update at this time.

As a basis, I listened to the amount of travel on weekends in the metro area.

After increasing the distance to 2.5 steps, it decreased to around 20% in the first week or two, and the decrease stalled in the third week after that, but declined sharply again last weekend.

In the meantime, I was hoping that the effect wouldn’t show up starting this weekend.

The government looks forward to the preventive inspections that are currently being carried out at the temporary inspection offices in the metropolitan area.
