[사회]400,000 specific exams for universities in Corona 19 … “taken without major problems”

Since last week, most of each university’s entrance exams, such as the occasional essay writing and interview, where 400,000 students from across the country have transferred, have come to an end.

The examinees were concerned about the spread of the coronavirus over the weekend, but thankfully, they ran the test without major problems.

Ewha Womans University, who has been vetted for essay writing all weekend.

As exam time approaches, examinees wearing masks enter the school one by one.

In accordance with quarantine guidelines, outsiders are prohibited from entering, except for test takers.

[학교 관계자 : (수험생 아니면 못 들어가는 건가요?) 못 들어갑니다. 학부모님도.]

Parents unable to use even nearby cafes due to high distance guidelines.

I can’t take my step easily even though I see eyes bulging from my son’s worries struggling within the test site.

[박은미 / 경기도 성남시 분당구 : 시험을 잘 봐야 한다는 걱정도 있는데, 거기다가 같은 고사실에 같이 들어가 있는 수험생들의 안전도 같이 걱정되니까 이중으로 걱정되는 셈이죠.]

Chung-Ang University has also established quarantine stations during the two days, where 38,000 examinees visit.

Candidates who have completed the questionnaire can enter the testing center after taking their temperature through the quarantine station.

The school maintained an emergency work system in case of emergency.

Upon news of the sudden explosion of confirmed cases over the weekend, examinees expressed concern,

[김동우 / 수험생 : 뉴스에서 확진자도 많이 나오고 그래서, 사람들이 많이 몰리는 곳을 가도 될까 싶었는데, 그래도 마스크를 쓰고 있으니까….]

Most of them were evaluated for entrance exams such as essay writing without major problems.

[안재성 / 수험생 : 사람이 많이 오고, 코로나 환자도 많이 발생해서 많은 걱정을 하긴 했지만, 방역 수칙도 잘 돼 있어서 무리 없이 잘 마친 것 같습니다.]

The city of Seoul, where the main universities are concentrated, plans to form a special team to intensively inspect the quarantine of the university district before the end of the year.
