As high concentrations of fine dust covered the entire country, an ultra-fine dust (PM2.5) warning was issued in Seoul and other metropolitan areas. Fine dust is expected to increase through the weekend.
According to Air Korea, Korea Environment Corporation on the 11th, the ultrafine dust (PM2.5) concentration in Seoul at 11 o’clock on the 11th is 83㎍ per ㎥ (microgram, 1㎍ = 1 in 1 million), which which is very bad (76 ~ ㎍ / ㎥) ‘the level is recorded.
Gyeonggi and Incheon also showed ‘very bad’ levels of 88㎍ / ㎥ and 77㎍ / ㎥, respectively, and most of the other regions also showed concentrations of fine dust that exceeded the ‘bad’ standard. Consequently, superfine dust warnings have been issued in some areas of Seoul, Gyeonggi and Incheon.
The Center for Integrated Forecasting of Air Quality of the National Institute of Environmental Sciences said: “On the 11th, the concentration of fine dust that remained the day before due to atmospheric congestion and fine household dust accumulates and dust is also introduced. Overseas fine, the concentration is expected to be high in the western area and some areas of Yeongnam.
On Jeju Island, there may be places where it rains around 5mm from day to night, and in the high mountains snow will fall and accumulate around 1cm.

The Integrated Air Quality Forecast Center predicted: “On the 12th, the concentration of fine dust is expected to be high in most western regions, as fine dust remains the day before and even fine dust accumulates. generated in Korea due to atmospheric stagnation. ” In particular, the concentration of fine dust in southern Gyeonggi, Chungcheong region, Gwangju and Jeonbuk will be high to the level of “bad”.
