The first 58 elected members of the People’s Power will participate in the plenary debate of the National Assembly on the amendment to the National Intelligence Service Law and the Inter-Korean Relations Development Law (Filibuster).
On the 11th, the first elected legislators held a press conference in the Communications Hall of the National Assembly and said: “Starting today, everyone is entering into all-night obstructionism. We are crying out to the people so desperately to through obstructionism, the least resistance we can make. ” Said.
The first legislators commented on the NIS law as “a bad law that the national intelligence agency will inspect and monitor even the unsavory citizens because it is not enough to monitor all cyberspace.” The South-North Relations Development Law, which prohibits the dissemination of brochures to North Korea, was called the “Kim Yeo-jeong Ha Myung Act” and argued that “if we send a brochure to North Korea to tell the truth to North Korean people, we will send our people to prison. ”
He told the people: “Democracy has been demolished.” They said: “We cannot bear a worse situation than in the days of the authoritarian dictatorship”, and appealed “Give us the power to correct all the anomalies that are occurring on this earth back to normal even now.”
Therefore, it is observed that the plenary session can continue until the end of this month if all the first legislators go to obstructionism. This is because it takes each person 10 days to speak for 4 hours. According to the Law of the National Assembly, if more than three-fifths of current legislators approve it, the obstructionism will end.
The unrestricted discussion on the amendment to the National Intelligence Service Law presented in the plenary session of the extraordinary National Assembly the day before has been ongoing for approximately 19 hours starting at 10 am on the day. Following Representative Lee Chul-gyu, People’s Power, Kim Byeong-ki of the Democratic Party, Tae-yong Cho, People’s Power, Ik-pyo Hong of the Democratic Party, and People’s Power, Representative Kim Woong, etc. appeared on the podium in turn. Earlier, on the last day of the ordinary National Assembly on the 9th, Congressman Kim Ki-hyun of the Popular Forces debated against the amendment to the Air Transport Law for about three hours.
