The number of new confirmed corona19 cases has skyrocketed, approaching 700.

The government said that the metropolitan area, which had more than 500 patients, is a battle to defeat the thrust of the crown and that it will focus all its capabilities on the quarantine in the metropolitan area.

First, seven additional confirmed cases accumulate related to the mayor of Jung-gu, Seoul, and 21.

There are 19 merchants and 2 families.

A total of 189 people were confirmed, with an additional 27 confirmed patients related to Pagoda Town and song classes at restaurants in Jongno-gu, Seoul.

The music practice center in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul was also added by 7 people, resulting in a total of 33.

It was further spread during the course of a lecture by an official of a musical theater company at the Daegu Acting Academy.

A manufacturer in Gunpo-si, Gyeonggi-do, added 25 people after the first one confirmed on the 5th, resulting in a cumulative number of 26.

Eight more confirmed patients were added to a nursing home in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, and three more were also in another Goyang-si nursing home.

The number of nursing homes in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon, also added 7 people, which is a cumulative number of 27.

A new cluster infection was also found in a manufacturer of healthy functional foods in Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do, and 13 people were confirmed.

The number of confirmed patients at the people’s hall in Cheongyang-gun, Chungnam increased from 8 to 22, and a pub in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon was also added to 15 for a total of 63.

As of today at 0 o’clock, there are 686 new cases of Corona 19.

This is the second stopover after 909 people on February 29.

The infection route was 662 people in Korea and 24 people from abroad.

When looking at the outbreak in Korea by region, there were 524 people in the metropolitan area alone, including 264 in Seoul, 214 in Gyeonggi, and 46 in Incheon.

The number of deaths increased from 4 to 556 and the number of seriously ill patients increased from 15 to 149.

The average number of new confirmed cases per day for the past week was 583.

Of these, 76%, or 440, are patients from the metropolitan area.

Notably, the number of 524 patients in the metropolitan area at 0 o’clock today is the highest since the 19 crown incident.

This is almost double that of late August, the peak of the second epidemic.

Jung Soo-bon, head of quarantine, said at today’s briefing that the expansion of the Seoul metropolitan area is wider and that the limited social distancing effect means that asymptomatic and latent infections are widespread in the metropolitan area.

Earlier, Prime Minister Jeong Sye-gyun also announced that the capital region will be the winning place to break the current trend and that it will concentrate all its capabilities.

In addition to adjusting the distancing stage, we will do our best to respond to the necessary quarantine measures, such as preventive inspection, epidemiological investigation, and bed safety.

Jungsubon also said that there are cases where patients are waiting at home due to a shortage of beds, but it will be solved by expanding life treatment centers in the future.

Until yesterday, 1,945 people can enter 23 vital treatment centers, and the metropolitan area has capacity for 1,340 people.

Jungsubon plans to open three more life treatment centers with capacity for 570 people this week.

Intensive care beds are also reinforced.

Currently 43 are empty and the government plans to add 154 critically ill beds by the end of this month.

In addition, we plan to introduce a “quasi-critical patient bed” for high-risk groups such as cancer patients.

The semi-critical bed is used for patients whose condition improves temporarily or for patients who are more likely to worsen to severe but not yet classified as severe.
