Correctional authorities are contemplating a plan to release Mr. Jo for his personal safety.

Videos with the theme of ‘Cho Doo-soon Retribution’ are also being released one after another.

Cho Doo-soon is scheduled to be released around 6 a.m. on the 12th.

In the wake of the retaliation notification, the Ministry of Justice is struggling on how to return home the day Cho Doo-soon was released.

First of all, considering personal safety, we are reviewing plans to change the time and location of Cho Doo-soon’s release at the last minute.

Immediately after being released, it is effective to get into a special convoy vehicle and transport it to Ansan’s home.

A staff member will leave the Ansan Compliance Support Center, who will be in charge of Doo-Soon Cho’s probation, and will accompany Doo-soon Cho after filling her electronic anklet.

We are also considering a plan to get him to the probation office immediately on the day of release so that the report can be completed, which must be submitted within 10 days.

Doo-soon Cho has to wear an electronic anklet for 7 years after release, and a dedicated probation officer will monitor him for 24 hours 1: 1 via electronic supervision.

The city of Ansan and the police also proposed countermeasures.

First, CCTV was strengthened by designating an area within a 1 km radius of the Cho Doo-soon residential area as a ‘safe zone for women’, and we decided to double the number of CCTV in the city, which is currently of 3,600 units, for the first half of next year.

In addition, the police decided to establish a separate “Cho Doo-soon response team” and intensively deploy nearby patrol personnel.
