Realmeter YTN asked 500 people over the age of 18 (6274 contacts) across the country if they thought they should resign, be it Chu or Yun. As a result, 44.3% of those surveyed said that only Minister Choo Mi-ae should resign, and 30.8% said that only President Yoon Seok-yeol should resign, 13.5% less than that.
Only 12.2% of those surveyed said that Minister Chu and President Yoon should resign together. 7.3% of those surveyed said they were unsure and 5.4% said they did not need to resign.
By age group, there is a majority of public opinion that Minister Chu resigns from the age group over 50. They are 60 years old (56.6%), over 70 (55.9%) and 50 years old (55.0%). On the other hand, 48.8% of the 40, who far exceeded the general average, chose to resign. For those in their 30s, the resignation of Minister Chu (32.0%) and President Yoon (34.1%) was strict, and 16.0% said they did not need to resign, which is higher than the general average. .
In the case of progressive respondents, 44.6% said that only President Yoon should resign. Most of the conservatives (57.8%) and moderates (53.3%) answered that only Minister Chu should resign. This seems to be related to the differences between the parties they support. 64.0% of Democratic Party supporters saw that only President Yoon should resign, while 83.3% of people’s supporters said that only Minister Chu should resign. In the case of shamans, the response to Minister Chu’s resignation was the highest at 48.3%.
This survey is the result of contacting 6274 people over the age of 18 across the country on Day 4 and completing a final response of 500 people (8.0% response rate, two callbacks to survey targets not received after determining the sampling frame to improve the response rate). Wireless (80%) and wired (20%) Random Dialing (RDD) through a randomly generated sampling frame was carried out in an automatic response method. Statistical correction was made by weighting by gender, age group and region based on the demographics of the resident registry of the Ministry of Public Administration and Security at the end of October 2020, and the sampling error is ± 4.4% p with a confidence level of 95%.
